Johnson director at CSU

Charisse Johnson, PharmD '98, MS '03, is currently director of experiential education and assistant professor at Chicago State University College of Pharmacy.

Possessing formal teaching experiences in both didactic and experiential arenas with student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Johnson has served in various capacities as a guest speaker, course instructor, and graduate teaching assistant lecturing on topics such as regulatory policy, patient safety, and the pharmacist’s role in community health.

Prior to joining Chicago State University, she was the Professional Affairs Manager at the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. She also has practice experience in community and health-systems pharmacy.

Johnson has served as a board member for both the National Pharmaceutical Association and Chicago Pharmacists Association. She is also a member of Rho Chi Honor Society, Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Fraternity, and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. She has received a number of awards and accolades, the most recent being the UIC COP Sister Margaret Wright Graduate Award, UIC COP Urban Health Program Distinguished Alumni Award, and the Young Pharmacists Award from the National Pharmaceutical Association.
